KembaraXtra – Legal Terms – Indirect Discrimination
Indirect discrimination occurs when a neutral rule or practice disproportionately disadvantages individuals with a protected characteristic. Unlike direct discrimination, intent is not required.
Such practices are unlawful unless they can be objectively justified as a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. This concept plays a central role in equality and employment law.
