Legal Terms – Bare licensee
An individual who utilizes or inhabits land with the consent of the proprietor, but without any legal or equitable claim to it. This permission is specific to him and cannot be transferred. The owner's ability to enforce it against a third party who obtains the land is limited. The termination of his permit is possible at any given moment, and he is obliged to vacate the premises promptly. If he fails to do so, he will be considered a trespasser.
