Legal Terms - All Ports Warning System
The police national computer broadcast system operates a mechanism through which information about a youngster can be disseminated.

Information regarding the possibility of a child being kidnapped is shared with immigration officers at ports and airports. These officers will then collaborate with the police to take measures in order to stop the child from leaving the country. Prior to implementing a port alert, the police must be thoroughly satisfied of the authenticity of the complaint and the immediate and serious threat of deportation. A court order is necessary for children who are 16 or 17 years old.
