Legal Terms -causing a child to watch a sexual act
According to Section 12 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, it is considered a criminal offense for an individual to intentionally cause a child under the age of 16 to observe someone else engaging in sexual activity, or to view an image of someone engaging in sexual activity, with the intention of obtaining sexual pleasure. If the youngster falls between the age range of 13 to 16, the defendant's liability will be nullified if they really and reasonably believe that the child is older than 16. If the kid is less than 13, the defendant's incorrect conviction that the child is older than 16 will not excuse his responsibility, regardless of whether that view is sincerely held and rational. The maximum penalty is a decade of incarceration.
