Previously, a letter from the European Commission's Competition Directorate in response to a notification for an exemption or *negative clearance of a business deal that would violate EU *competition law. It is no longer feasible to submit individual notifications for clearance under Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
