Legal Terms - Court of Criminal Appeal
The Criminal Appeal Act of 1907 established this court, which replaced the *Court for Consideration of Crown Cases Reserved in terms of jurisdiction. Its jurisdiction was moved to the *Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) and it was disbanded by the Criminal Appeal Act 1966, but its powers were substantially expanded, especially in evaluating problems of fact in addition to legal ones.
