Legal Terms -delivery
Delivery is the act of giving someone else possession of something. According to the Sale of Goods Act 1979, a seller can deliver goods to a buyer in three different ways: physically, symbolically, or by giving them control over them (such as the keys to a warehouse where they are kept), or by acknowledging to a third party that he is holding them that he is doing so on the buyer's behalf. Constructive delivery is when the buyer agrees to pay the seller in full for the products, or when the buyer has possession of the items under a hire-purchase agreement and the seller agrees to hold the goods on behalf of the buyer.
