A publication wherein the Crown enumerates certain statutory notices. Initially published as the Oxford Gazette in 1665, while the court was located in Oxford, it was relocated to London the subsequent year; since then, it has been produced as the London Gazette on Tuesdays and Fridays. It includes formal proclamations on, for instance, the conferment of military honors, judicial appointments, and the dissolution of partnerships. Comparable journals are produced in Edinburgh and Belfast, the latter having been relocated from Dublin after the formation of the Irish Free State in 1921.
