An officer authorized to enforce judgments issued by the High Court of England and Wales.
Their duties include executing writs such as:
• Fieri facias (for seizure of goods),
• Writs of possession (for recovering property), and
• Writs of delivery (for returning goods).
High Court Enforcement Officers act as agents of the court to ensure that judgments are carried out effectively.
They replaced traditional sheriffs in most civil enforcement functions.
