One of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, created by the Judicature Acts 1873–1875. It handles:
1. Personal injury claims over £50,000.
2. Other civil claims exceeding £100,000.
3. Specialized cases (e.g., commercial disputes) that must be heard in the High Court.
4. Cases required by statute to begin in this court.
The High Court exercises both original and appellate jurisdiction in civil and criminal matters and is divided into three divisions: the Queen’s Bench Division, Chancery Division, and Family Division
