• Spinal stenosis with compression of lumbosacral nerve roots
• Spinal muscular atrophy
• Polyglucosan body disease
• Multifocal motor neuropathy (MMN) with conduction block
• Monomelic amyotrophy
• Late-onset hexosaminidase A deficiency
• Foramen magnum tumor
• Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy with CNS lesions
• Cervical spondylotic myelopathy with polyradiculopathy
• Bulbospinal muscular atrophy (Kennedy’s disease)
• ALS-like syndromes have been reported in the setting of lead intoxication, HIV infection,  hyperparathyroidism, hyperthyroidism, lymphoma, and vitamin B12 deficiency
