Medical Terms -Argyll-Robertson Pupil
A diminutive, irregular pupil that constricts appropriately during accommodation for near vision but inadequately or not at all in reaction to light. The response to mydriatics is inadequate or nonexistent. This condition can be unilateral, bilateral, or asymmetrical, and is most frequently a consequence of persistent syphilitic meningitis or other manifestations of late syphilis.
