​Pharmacology - Cefuroxime 
Cefuroxime inhibits the production of bacterial cell walls, making it a potent germicide.

Mode of Action 
Connects to the enzyme responsible for attaching the peptide chain of the freshly synthesized "building blocks" to the backbone of the peptidoglycan cell wall and prevents its activity.
Recommended for oral administration. either in the morning or at night. (Probenecid blocks its passage into all bodily fluids; eliminated in urine).

Medical Application
Strikes back against N. gonorrhoea and H. influenzae that produce beta-lactamase. Apply it to your sinuses, ears, lower respiratory tract, and urinary tract if you have an infection.

Precautions to Take 
Adverse responses (e.g., hives, fever, swelling, pain, anaphylaxis), gastrointestinal problems (e.g., pseudomembranous colitis), and secondary infections.
