Pharmacology - Epinephrine
Epinephrine Is Responsible Forthe contraction of the uterus, the sphincters of the gastrointestinal tract, the bladder sphincter, and the radial iris muscle are all examples of alpha 1 receptor effects.
The alpha 2 receptor is responsible for inhibiting lipolysis and the release of NA.bronchodilation and vasodilation with a drop in diastolic blood pressure are the effects of beta 1 receptor , while beta 2 receptor causes an increase in heart rate.

Mode of Action
The activation of phospholipase C at alpha-1-receptors results in the production of IP3, which brings about an increase in intracellular calcium and, consequently, the force of contraction.
Protein kinase A is activated when there is a rise in cAMP at beta 2-receptors. When it comes to smooth muscle, PKA has the effect of decreasing the contractile activity, whereas in cardiac muscle, it has the effect of increasing intracellular calcium and, consequently, the force.

 Absorption / Distribution / Elimination
The plasma T ½ 2 minutes for plasma. By means of monoamine oxidase and catechol-O-methyl transferase, the substance is metabolized.

Use in clinical settings
Heart arrest, anaphylactic shock, and asthma are all examples. Additional additions made to the local anesthetic liquids.

Adverse effects
Anxiety, and tachycardia are the symptoms.
With the exception of the fact that they are alpha-1-selective, phenylephrine and oxymetazoline are comparable medications.
