Ivermectin Action Acts at the worm’s neuromuscular junction, inducing paralysis either by increasing GABA-mediated inhibition or by activating an invertebrate-specific glutamate-gated chloride channel. Given orally. Clinical Case Onchocerciasis (drug of choice); strongyloidiasis. Precautions to Take Infrequent: itching, rash, GIT problems, dizziness, tiredness.
