Pharmacology - Mebendazole The Action of Mebendazole Impairs glucose absorption and other microtubule functions by blocking their production. Orally administered; fatty meals enhance inadequate absorption. Use in Clinical Settings As a result of hookworm, whipworm, threadworm, or roundworm infection. Unwanted Effects gastrointestinal issues, skin changes. Babies rarely have convulsions. Related Medications Albendazole: also prescribed for cystercerosis, strongyloidiasis, and cutaneous larva migrans.
