Method of Operation 
These agents have a low absorption rate and, due to their hygroscopic nature, they induce the formation of a soft faecal material, which promotes peristalsis by dampening the gut.

If taken by mouth. Having not been absorbed.

Use in Clinical Settings 
Having trouble passing stool. When increasing the amount of dietary fiber is not sufficient. advantageous in the treatment of a variety of gastrointestinal problems, including hemorrhoids and irritable bowel syndrome. Keep up your fluid intake to avoid causing obstruction in your intestinal tract.

Adverse Effects 
A flatulence. The minimal absorption results in a limited number of systemic activities. Obstruction occurs.
