The Action of Methyldopa

The mode of action primarily affects the central nervous system. methylnoradrenaline, also known as methylnorepinephrine, is produced when it is taken up by adrenergic neurones and transformed into a false transmitter signal. The release of this occurs, and it has an effect on the alpha-2 adrenoceptors, which in turn reduces the release of NA.

The process of absorbing, distributing, and eliminating
When taken orally, it is actively carried into the neurones of the CT. Two hours is the plasma half-life, while twenty-four hours is the duration of action.
