Pharmacology -  Mycophenolate Mofetil
It does this by selectively inhibiting the clonal growth of T and B cells and by lowering the generation of cytotoxic T cells.

Mode of Action
T and B lymphocytes are the only cells that are able to manufacture purines through a different pathway, however this substance inhibits the production of purines from scratch.

Administered either orally or through intravenous infusion. Mycophenolic acid, which is the active moiety that can interfere with the metabolism of purine nucleotides, is produced through the process of metabolism.

Use in Clinical Settings
This medication is typically administered in conjunction with ciclosporin and glucocorticoids in order to avoid organ transplant rejection. There is also usage in the treatment of autoimmune illnesses, such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Negative effects include gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, and respiratory system abnormalities, pancreatitis, hepatitis, tremors, dizziness, and a sickness similar to the flu.
