Method of Operation 
The compound is bactericidal and inhibits the production of cell walls in bacteria that are dividing.
Administered orally for temporary relief in the mouth; otherwise administered intravenously; renal excretion

Use in Clinical Settings
 The infections caused by MRSA and pseudomembranous colitis

Allergies and Reactions 
In rare cases, renal insufficiency can also cause reversible hearing loss.
