Symptoms and Signs – Differential Diagnosis of Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura
• Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)
• Eclampsia or preeclampsia
• Gastroenteritis as a result of a serotoxin-producing serotype of Escherichia coli
• Hemolytic-uremic syndrome (typically encountered in children, often after a viral infection)
• Malignant hypertension
