KembaraXtra-Psychology - atherosclerosis
Atherosclerosis is the major form of arteriosclerosis, involving hardening and thickening of the inner arterial walls due to deposits of cholesterol and other fatty materials; in coronary arteries it can contribute to coronary heart disease, and in the brain it can contribute to neurological problems such as vascular dementia or multi-infarct dementia. Its roots refer to “porridge/gruel” (plaque-like deposits) and “hardening.”
