KembaraXtra-Psychology - axon
An axon is the long, threadlike process of a neuron that conducts nerve impulses away from the cell body toward terminal boutons, where signals are transmitted across synapses to other neurons, muscles, or glands. Axons are also called nerve fibres, are supported by structures such as microtubules, and are contrasted with dendrites; axonal describes what relates to axons.
