KembaraXtra-Psychology – BASIC-ID
BASIC-ID is an acronym representing seven modalities of human functioning in multimodal therapy: Behavior, Affect, Sensation, Imagery, Cognition, Interpersonal relationships, and Drugs/biological factors. The model proposes that psychological difficulties can manifest across multiple interacting domains and that effective intervention should target the modality most central to the client’s presenting problem. For example, if anxiety is primarily experienced as bodily tension, sensory-based techniques may be prioritized. BASIC-ID reflects an integrative therapeutic approach that recognizes the complexity of human experience.
