KembaraXtra-Psychology – Bed-Wetting
Bed-wetting refers to the involuntary release of urine during sleep, a condition medically termed enuresis when it occurs beyond the age at which bladder control is typically established. While occasional bed-wetting can be developmentally normal in young children, persistent episodes may reflect delayed maturation of bladder control mechanisms, deep sleep patterns, genetic predispositions, or psychological stress. In some cases, it may also be associated with medical conditions affecting urinary function. Although often outgrown naturally, chronic bed-wetting can lead to embarrassment, lowered self-esteem, and family stress, making supportive intervention important.
