Psychology Terms - Achilles tendon reflex
A deep tendon reflex elicited by a tap on the Achilles tendon located in the posterior aspect of the ankle. It is frequently lacking in individuals with diabetes, peripheral nervous system disorders, pyramidal tract diseases, or hyperthyroidism. Also referred to as the ankle reflex.
