Solid-state drives (SSDs) serve as a contemporary substitute for magnetic drives. Rather than employing rotating magnetic disks, they utilize stored electric charges and has no moving components. This renders SSDs less prone to failure and enables them to operate more swiftly than magnetic drives; nonetheless, these advantages have a financial expense: Solid-state SSDs are costlier than magnetic drives.
