With the exception of the removal of the computer case, this kind of desktop is nearly comparable to the conventional desktop we discussed earlier. Instead, all the internal hardware (processor, RAM, hard disc and video card) from the computer case, is integrated into the back of the screen itself. Because all you have to do to get started is plug in your keyboard and mouse and turn on the power, this simplifies the setup process for the entire system. With the integrated touch screens in some of these systems, you can tap icons on the screen in place of a mouse. Although many other manufacturers have imitated this design, Apple's iMac was the first to employ this format.
