KembaraXtra–Computer Terms – 10Base-T
10Base-T is a widely adopted Ethernet standard that uses twisted-pair cabling to carry data at 10 megabits per second. The network is arranged in a star configuration, meaning each computer or device connects individually to a central hub, sometimes referred to as a multiport repeater. The use of common copper twisted-pair wires—often found in telephone installations—made this Ethernet version far easier to install and manage than earlier coaxial-based systems. It represented a major shift toward structured cabling systems used in modern networking.
