KembaraXtra-Computer Terms – automatic patching:
Automatic patching refers to a process in which software vulnerabilities or system weaknesses caused by malicious computer viruses or other security threats are identified and repaired automatically. In some cases, this process may be performed by a protective program designed to remove harmful code and restore the system to a secure state. The corrective action may be initiated by the user or carried out automatically by an anti-virus program that detects and repairs the damage. In certain situations, automatic patching may also occur when a program enters a system through a back door left by a malicious virus and applies fixes without the user’s direct awareness or approval.
