KembaraXtra-Computer Terms – binary digit:

A binary digit is one of the two symbols used in the binary numbering system: 0 or 1. Each binary digit represents a single unit of binary information and is the smallest piece of data used in digital computing.

Binary digits can represent electrical states within electronic circuits, such as whether a signal is present or absent. Because computers operate using these two states, binary digits form the foundation for representing numbers, characters, instructions, and all other forms of digital data.
