Computer Structure -Desktop: All-in-one
With the exception of the removal of the computer case, this kind of desktop is nearly comparable to the conventional desktop we discussed earlier. Instead, all the internal hardware (processor, RAM, hard disc and video card) from the computer case, is integrated into the back of the screen itself. Because all you have to do to get started is plug in your keyboard and mouse and turn on the power, this simplifies the setup process for the entire system. With the integrated touch screens in some of these systems, you can tap icons on the screen in place of a mouse. Although many other manufacturers have imitated this design, Apple's iMac was the first to employ this format.

Computer Structure – Laptop
standard laptop, also known as a notebook occasionally. Although there are certain concessions because of space, laptop specifications are often comparable to those of desktop computers. Compared to desktops, they often perform a little bit slower and have less RAM. Typically, the screens range in size from 12" to 17". They come with Windows 10/11 or MacOS and can run every program that is available for desktop computers. A laptop's main benefit is its portability. Its versatility allows you to use it in any space, chat with friends while browsing the web while lounging on the sofa. Or focus on your academic assignments in a library or coffee shop. You may plug in a mouse and an external screen or projector for laptops, among other devices. They are therefore perfect for people who give presentations, teach or lecture, or engage in public speaking. These days, some laptops even come with touch displays, which allow you to use your finger to navigate around the screen instead of a mouse or trackpad.

The Computer
A computer is an electronic device that runs different applications on it. These programs, often known as software, give a computer the ability to carry out a variety of functions. Standard peripherals like a keyboard, mouse, and monitor are typically included with a computer. These add-ons are attached to a box on a desktop computer that holds the CPU, RAM, and hard drives, among other internal components. The smallest smart phone or tablet computer to massive supercomputers that occupy entire buildings are just a few of the various varieties of computers available today. The most prevalent kind are microcomputers, which are based on microprocessors.

On the back of a standard computer case, you’ll find various ports. This is the point of connection for peripheral devices such the keyboard, mouse, printer, and monitor.

The power button is often located on the front of the case. A headphone jack, a card reader, and a few USB ports can also be found on some computers. There might be a CD/DVD drive as well.

Depending on the model, laptops feature a variety of ports dispersed along the edges. Most laptops have an Ethernet port, a headphone jack, an HDMI port for connecting an external monitor, and a few USB connections.

Computer Structure - Basic Peripherals

The most common peripherals are: Monitors Printers Keyboards Mice Scanners Cameras These are known as external peripherals, as they sit outside the case (the CPU), and connect to your computer via USB cable or similar. External peripherals can be divided into input devices or output devices.

Other types of computer have similar peripherals, except they may be integrated into the device such as a laptop or tablet. On a laptop, the keyboard, mouse/trackpad, and monitor are all integrated into the device - although you can attach these externally.

Similarly with a tablet. Although some peripherals are different, such as a touch screen instead of a mouse/trackpad. Also some tablets have external detachable keyboards. Some tablets, have on-screen keyboards and some have limited data ports for additional peripherals.

These devices are designed for portability, so they only feature the essentials.
