Pharmacology - Amisulpride
An antipsychotic medication called amisulpride. Able to effectively combat both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia. A dopamine D2 and D3 receptor antagonist is the mode of action on this drug. Dopamine autoreceptors may be the target of preferential action, which could explain the decreased occurrence of EPS and the effectiveness against negative symptoms. The receptors for 5HT, histamine, muscarinic, and alpha-1 adrenergic are not compatible with this substance.Constantly excreted in kidneys in its original form. t, twelve hours. Schizophrenia is used in clinical work. Adverse Effects Insufficiency of prolactin. A lack of sleep. A feeling of unease. Put on some weight. Dry lips and constipation are symptoms.
