Activities of Raloxifene 
It has an antagonistic effect on the mammary glands and the uterus, while it has agonistic effects on bone and on the cardiovascular system.

 Method of Operation 
Similar to oestrogens, it suppresses the cytokines that are responsible for recruiting osteoclasts.
First-pass metabolism occurs when the medication is taken orally. The bioavailability is approximately 2%. The plasma half-life is approximately 32 hours.

The clinical use of the preventative measure for breast cancer and osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.

Adverse Effects 
Thromboembolism risks are present.
